Elavie is a personal health-tracking app, currently in beta. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we handle and how. It is not a HIPAA-certified medical service.
Your account details (name, email) and the health information you choose to add: lab results you upload, biomarker values, and any food, vitals, or medications you log.
When you upload a lab report (photo or PDF), it is securely sent to trusted third-party AI service providers that read and extract the values. The original file is not saved on our servers — only the extracted values (like “Glucose 92 mg/dL”) are stored. Please avoid uploading documents you are not comfortable having processed by an external AI provider.
Your data is stored in a database on our hosting provider’s servers. Passwords are stored only as secure one-way hashes — never in plain text. All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Each account can only access its own data.
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with the AI provider that processes your uploads, and with anyone you deliberately send a doctor-share link to. A share link lets whoever has it view the data you shared until the link expires or you revoke it.
We keep your account details and the health data you add for as long as your account remains active, so your history stays available to you over time. Uploaded report files (photos or PDFs) are not retained after processing — only the extracted values (for example “Glucose 92 mg/dL”) are stored. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account; once you do, your data is deleted from our servers and is not retained. Doctor-share links expire automatically and stop working as soon as you revoke them.
